How is religious meaning shaped by words on a page? How are literary texts influenced by the beliefs of their authors and readers? What are the differences between sacred and literary writing? Can the act of writing be an act of worship? What happens to religious literature in performance?
The Faculty of English and the Faculty of Divinity are holding a joint study day on Monday 14th January 2019 exploring the relationship between theology and literature. The day is aimed at students in Years 11 and 12 with an interest in literature, performance, theology, religion, and philosophy of religion - especially those who may be considering studying these subjects at university.
