Oxford Q-Step Centre is offering a one-day workshop for teachers who supervise Extended Project Qualifications in Social Sciences, to help them support and advise their students on the effective use of data in their dissertations. The course is part of the Economic & Social Research Council’s Festival of Social Science 4-11 November 2017.
The aim is to give teachers, and through them their students, confidence about using data effectively and appropriately. The course will introduce different ways of gathering, analysing and presenting statistics, through lectures and data lab work, and finishing off with a Q&A session.
The workshop will take place in the Department of Politics & International Relations, Manor Road, Oxford, OX1 3UQ on Saturday 4 November from 10 am – 4 pm. It is free of charge, and lunch will be provided. Teachers/schools must pay for their own travel expenses.
