Each year, Exeter College hosts a summer residential for state school Year 12 students from Somerset, Devon, and Cornwall. The purpose of this event is to support students in preparing to apply to Oxford, including course choice, UCAS applications, personal statements, admissions tests, and interviews. It also gives students an opportunity to experience life in an Oxford college and meet our students, tutors and admissions staff.
The 2019 residential will be taking place on Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd July 2019. We will be offering 60 places for attendees this year, with 50 places prioritised for Devon & Cornwall & 10 for Somerset.
The residential runs from Monday lunch to Tuesday lunch and all events, meals and overnight accommodation during the residential are offered free of charge.

Please note that, as part of your application, you must nominate a teacher who is familiar with your academic performance. We will get in touch with them to get their consent for your application and to confirm the details about your academic performance are correct. Applications close at 5pm on Friday 31st May.
Candidates will be informed of the outcome of their application in early June, and successful applicants must then return a parental consent form to confirm their place.
If over-subscribed, attendees will be selected based on academic & access criteria, and priority will also be given to students who have not been able to get a place on other residential access events (UNIQ summer schools & Downing College Cambridge’s South West residential).
Should attendees wish to stay on to the University Open Days on Wednesday 3rd July, we are also able to offer another night’s accommodation free of charge. Please see the booking form for more information about this.
