Girton College will be running a Geography Taster Day for students in years 10 and 11 on Monday 18th November.
Geography is a broad and exciting subject, which allows students to investigate in depth the world around them. During an undergraduate degree, Geography students develop a range of skills which are particularly valuable to employers, and are also able to gain practical experience through field trips. Students in years 10 and 11 are welcome to come along and find out more about studying this subject at A Level and beyond at our taster day.
The day will:
- Explain the breadth of university courses in Geography
- Encourage students to develop an interest the subject, and demonstrate the value of studying it at university
- Enable students to experience taster sessions on a range of Geographical topics, exploring both human and physical geography.
- Inform them about their A Level choices and how this will affect their university applications.
