In January 2016, Murray Edwards College, Cambridge and Corpus Christi College, Oxford, jointly organised a tour of schools in Derbyshire to provide information about Oxford and Cambridge, to encourage students to aspire academically and to build relationships with schools and teachers.
Over the course of four days, we delivered eleven presentations to over 160 students in Years 10 to 13. This included sessions on aiming high and course choices for Year 10, myth busting and more detailed application information for Year 12 and a question and answer session for Year 13 offer holders. We spoke to students from Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Ashbourne, Swanwick Hall School, The Ripley Academy, Hasland Hall School, St Mary’s Catholic High School and Lady Manners School in Bakewell.
"What great input, thank you so much... I know you have inspired our students."
